If you're a fan of community theater, attend a production by island's year-round community theatre company, which has showcased local talent for enthusiastic audiences for over 40 years. Performances are staged Wednesday through Saturday evenings at 8:30 PM and Sunday afternoons at 5:30 PM. Ticket prices are $15 for general admission, and tickets can be reserved by calling the number listed above.

Nantucket's only professional theater company, this company, which stages productions in the basement of the Methodist Church, combines professional and amateur talent in new productions in the summer. The small stage lends an intimate flavor to the plays performed by this talented ensemble, who stage six to eight performances each summer. Shows begin at 8:30 PM, Tuesday through Saturday, and an adult ticket is $15, children 12 and under are $12.

Heading toward Surfside Beach, you can find this super-casual, year-round bar, better known as The Box. The Box has live bands seven nights a week from Memorial Day to Labor Day and every weekend the rest of the year.

The Muse is Nantucket's hottest nightclub and concert venue. Here you will find everything from pizza to cool tunes, you might even find yourself competing in the Air Band Competition. The Muse has live entertainment on weekends, usually bands but occasionally DJs. It also offers keno and video trivia games.
